Suppressed
Just for once
I'd like to strangle
the sanctimonious ravings
that spews from your lips
living your double standards
in a relationship
that is nothing more
than a sinking ship
in a watery graveyard
filled with submerged pilings
green with decay
discarded feelings
suppressed rage
how you try to save face
by burying certain truths
way down below
out of sight
out of mind
are you surely so blind?
blaming me for your insecurities
hating me for a lack of clarity
bad choices
always lead to reviled voices
happily lead astray
so vile and betrayed,
it never used to be this way
