Casting A Reflection
Family is still acting hostile
father is far removed and incognito
no matter which way the wind blows
life seriously remains a fiasco
Why is it never their fault?
how does one judge a grain of salt
without responding to feedback?
casting a reflection back into infinity
Crawling out of closets
cleaning floors like a dust bin
soothing nerves with valium
waiting for the next crisis to begin
Always in a disconnected mood
condescension never soothes
sometimes honest people will call
end most evenings talking to the wall
Cut off like a castaway
too neurotic with feet of clay
look to the positive with dismay
haunted memories coming back some day
