No One Cares
No one cares
it generally feels that way
in the day to day
try to stay on the high road
Read like a book
sized up with a look
not dressed in style
then it must be shady business
Going all over the map
relaxing before the inevitable attack
there is panic on the streets
driven home by the police
But no one cares
that's the general consensus
something is surely missed
this honesty waylaid at the door
Given all this precious time
writing all these flowing lines
may be fabricated, maybe not
lost the coherency again
Maybe some generational gap
with a voice of dissension
buried in rhetorical tact,
or just another crappy line
Sick of these blank stares
is anything upstairs?
needing to be prodded along,
but no one cares
