    Redwoods

    Haven't felt this strongly
    in a long time
    always dealt with emotions
    in some other state of mind

    Reaching for a crumbled tissue
    vision is impaired
    by tear stricken eyes,
    breathing slowly until these feelings subside

    Pine tree sap on the fingers
    Redwoods towering into the heavens
    a chance encounter with a stranger
    2 souls on the precipice of forever

    There is a pain in this heart
    another stifled emotion failed to start
    facing yet another day left alone
    locked in a room, never quite home

    But I am moved,
    by these words that can only soothe
    like balm to take away the sting
    a calm before any pain they bring

    So the cycle begins anew
    from a sterile cold winter,
    to some vibrant Spring
    where the world has the purest view,
    and I can feel everything

    Your springtime is just beyond the horizon of your dreams my beautiful friend, a heart such as your's is never really alone because the voice of wisdom is inside you. beautiful write.

    Thanks, it was inspired by this movie called Redwoods. If you have netflicks or something like that, look it up. It's become my new favorite movie of all time.
