Mirror World
What about tomorrow?
don't think I will see it with you
selfish admittedly,
but the truth is recriminating
This upcoming future
filled with untold stories
of unrequited love,
throwing caution from the 44th story above
Do I see myself successful?
or fretful and forgetful?
even sadly regretful,
the loudest voices got it wrong again
There is no binding
nor bonding for that matter
no time for unwinding
this mirror world must shatter
Stuck in this down time
spiraling ever lower
people filled with disappointment
hiding intentions behind dispositions
Such sickness and disease
trying to relentlessly break me
this world is quite damaged
somehow I manage
