    Critiquing The Critics
    Constructive criticism
    is like an incision made
    by the sharpest edge
    from the dullest wit

    Testing the waters
    just a little prick
    then the matronly advice
    is laid on rather thick

    Text book scholars
    lead to cookie cutter crap
    live a little,
    whet that appetite,
    color outside the lines

    Rejection is just a tool,
    must be doing something right
    constant revisions drawn out,
    by supposedly well meaning,
    literary fools

    'Please don't take this the wrong way'
    who ever said that,
    had every intention
    to inject calamity

    To inflict and infect,
    second guessing,
    always testing,
    take a moment and reflect

    I trust my own instincts
    it takes me to the brink
    climbing over that wall,
    to happily sink...

    I couldn't agree more ~ I always feel strange rating other people's work; Like who am I to rate their feelings and experiences on a scale of 1 to 10?
