Howl
It doesn't make a difference
this life, this death
from new beginnings,
to a gasping last breath
This indifference
comes from years of interference
from well meaning souls
who never followed their own advice
'Do as I say, not what I do'
instructions never written in stone
at opposing ends with something to prove
there is no love here, so leave it alone
How can one honestly circumvent,
dragged into a world of hurt?
everyone wants to sway and convert
everyone is somewhat crude and curt
This stance is rather queer
born of rejection and denial
why is honesty somewhat feared?
embrace the strange and howl
