In Black and White
There it is
in black and white
a one inch line
this heart of mine
Yet still they come
with intent to harm
just another small notch
with their brains
in their crotches
How vulgar and rude
from some pathetic prude
who has been around this block
one too many times
There has to be something more
and dare I mention
a love so pure,
having given up the ghost
for over a decade or more
Read between the lines
and just fall through the cracks
not being re-born
to end up on this back again
Nor locked away
in some dirty room
breathing in the dust
of those who've left too soon
Watching these pictures
artfully projected on a screen
how these images of a life
have absolutely no appeal left to me
Could this be
the shriveled finger
of another glorious depression
weighing down on me?
Boys don't cry
and men don't kiss
a head full of contradictory shit
perceived morality
is quite ridiculous
A climbing divorce rate
mere children are pregnant again
being persecuted for a birthright
seems downright cruel,
but the majority unfortunately
live by transparent rules
Such pillars of a community
that make a big to do
about absolutely nothing
the loudest hate mongers
never have anything to contribute
honestly people,
what the hell is wrong with you?
