    Breaking Chains
    Alcoholic, spinning world
    always a well stocked bar
    can't imagine a get together
    without fleeting rows of bottles
    each promising a seductive lull,
    an end to life's immediate problems
    broken plates, burnt roasts
    no apologies, echo empty handed
    breaking these chains of familiarity,
    time for a clean slate, fresh start

    Like I said before, I am impressed with the lack of personal pronouns. The lack of pronouns allows the reader to fill in the blanks and then contemplate, did I get it right?

    A refreshing change from what I have witnessed here . . . I like how there is a end but not quite an end to this piece . . . look me up some time . . .
