If I Should
Emotional depravity
this silence cuts right through me
If I should cry
you will never see
drowning in a sea of misery
Purposeful stress
Life's perpetual mess
If I should confess
buckle under duress
maybe that's best
All I have are 2 strong arms
that strive to clasp
If I should stumble and falter
shed this life with a gasp
good intentions never fully grasped
Wasn't a football throwing son
or man enough to tote a gun
If I were a carbon copy
and we had similar hobbies
then I just wouldn't be myself...
