Rage
Inside seething with rage
outwardly dressed
in indifference
with nothing to say
Feeling cancerous,
slowly taking root
buried deep within cells,
up to no good
Born one way
yet walked off the path
feeling too much
bombarded all around
Senses, defensive
building up walls
climbing over fences
that shouldn't be breached,
but doing so willingly
Experimental phases
tried out and discarded,
like outgrown clothing
dumped on some barren floor
Climbing through windows
exploring the night
teenage women,
mascara savage, raccoon-like,
applied thickly
Skin tight, uptight
denim jackets,
thread bare jeans
steel toe boots
blue smoke curling upwards
butts ground into nothing
on hard cement
Fit in, assimilate
stand out, shut out
drinking until the world spins
out of control
black out, nothingness
profanity, calamity
spittle laced, caged...
