Shame
Excluded me for no apparent reason
we don't sing the same song
when you're wrong,
you are really wrong
too far gone,
don't belong
adios, so long
Not exactly turning over a new leaf
just being reintroduced to myself
father hates a perceived lifestyle
another outpouring of love
so I simply must smile
Yeah, something so provocative
when one is always alone
something sexual in the glances felt
while staring down these four walls
simply must recruit
more youth into these troops
playing skin flutes
and banging those obscene drums
Can you read the sarcasm?
come, 2012
break us down
pummel and grind us into the ground
just like in 1984
writing dire messages
on a band room wall
nothing really quite happened
no, nothing much at all
Trying to figure this out
what you are going on about
he whispers dire words
and you march off into left field
acting quite absurd
never understood
this finger pointing game
truly I feel your pain
self inflicted,
undeniably wicked
but I feel no shame
