Perceived Normal People
There is something wrong
with the way they behave
perceived normal people
should not act this way
Such a cold shoulder
a slammed door or two,
always seem to be exiting
whenever one enters a room
Hiding cans of coffee
dumping pots down the sink
turn around to retort,
but they're gone in a blink
No communication
just another strained relation
bet he'll be the only one
left alone on Christmas Day
while the two of them
exchange presents and laugh away
Keep on believing
that things can only get better
this pestering feeling
spirals downward to the letter
finger pointing blame
silence blackened with hurt
turn this situation around
make him feel like such a jerk
The power of suggestion
suggests this is all absurd
perceived normal people
always try for the last word
