Jump Start
What makes me stop and think about you?wondering after all this time,
been branded in my mind
do you have a wife and kids?
still chew?
a disgusting habit,
if ever there was one...
Never told you the truth,
all the subtle tensions
could envelope any room
had a big imaginary seduction scheme,
right out of the pages
of some pathetic 23 year old's dream
This love of mine is quite the farce
there never is anyone
to complete the equation
stripped bare, cutting to the bone
how could one be so straight?
to retire home, separate rooms
to mark the passage of time, all alone
But in my mind,
it could be 1994
and I probably lost the one and only chance
to make this jaded heart jump start and dance
