Equilibrium
Can you feel the love?
crawling out the door
It freaks you out
renewing a sense of doubt
that wasn't there before
Can you perceive this stall?
arms outstretched,
reaching across the wall
mouths are moving
but not exactly soothing
with honey sweetened words,
since anything at this point
would honestly be absurd
Flipping pages in an old calendar
every sheet leaden with heavy dreams
remembering the L.A. riots
though on this front,
all was quiet
sitting in some pick up bar
watching the violence explode
on a flat screen
while some guy next to me
is about as repugnant
as a human being could ever be
So I walked outside
hearing a payphone screaming
equilibrium seems topsy- turvy
I can defy gravity
by not giving in to anything
hailing a cab
driven by a handsome Irish man
giving him an address
just take me home
giving in
so I won't be alone
