Craving Life
Kick them down
when they're at their worst
break them down
until it seriously hurts
Welcome a calm of passivity
followed by a declaration of war
a chaotic necessity?
The wheel turns once more
We are never spoken for
a silent minority
with very little authority
a million muted stories
Clawing my way out of this pit
sometimes the pieces weren't meant to fit
have to get by on this tortured wit
The reader is waiting for another quip
Staying below the sight line
don't forget to breathe this time
reciting some Serenity prayer
pulling out this remaining hair
Facing a hostile crowd
the noise level is way too loud
trying to get by on intuition
a means to end this situation
Break them down
laughing at their pathetic worst
pummeled into the ground
Craving life is what we thirst
