Wake Up
Maybe if I start to crack up
this philosophy of mine
will shed from this head
just wake up wake up wake up
Expecting some winds of change
to dissipate the strange
that have clung to this life
settled in and rearranged
Behind door number one
alone with no one
a phone that is never used
a heart so broken and bruised
Trust is a luxury
never given to just anyone
hope is a refuge
discarded beneath a dying sun
Years of practical misguidance
walking on thinning ice
indecision impaled on a fence
universal bad advice
Show me the love
not some towering backside
these words I spill
giving you your fill
So what if it isn't crystal clear
visualizing these thoughts
you long to hear
after all, 2012 is next year...
