Pain Runs Like a Useless Tear
How does one respond
to irrationality
done on purpose?
When a wall has been erected
nothing out of the ordinary
has been detected,
how to explain this reign of pain away?
Years of civilized behavior
hidden beneath some porcelain mask
buried deep hostilities,
a foundation soon to crack
He is the same as he was
just a moment ago
She is the one who is chained
too afraid to let go of the ego
there is no shame in admitting a wrong
just as there is no blame
for a reasonable right
So how does seeing red
fed on lies never said
fuel ones purpose
when a personal life
seems like a circus?
On display
to his dismay
another faceless,
meaningless day
Do you see how he's
been forced to live?
out of storage boxes
can't even open his closet door
While she insinuates
how she has no space
no breathing room
just a perpetual gloom
that clings to her skin
like a soul sickness
in some claustrophobic vein
How to explain
that this pain runs
like a useless tear?
Escaping this torment
where subtlety isn't dormant
but growing fuller,
fatter
and all the laughter
is strangely repelled
but one can never tell
exactly what comes after
This irrationality
that was created
on purpose?
