Here
Give up
no fretting
how this depression
always seems to be settling
like fine sediment
forgotten black coal
in some deep dark hole
now a hard edged diamond
Into the sun light
another day of suppressed rage
locked behind a furrowed brow
starving this body
emptiness fills each cavity
trapped behind a subtle smile
hiding a world of calamity
parody trails another lonely mile
Emotional whirl
stranded on an impartial world
filled with broken souls
buried and forgotten goals
offspring that cling
to one another like cancer
waiting for clarity
to show them an answer
Sometimes
there
is
nothing
to
be
fathomed
here
