Upside Down
Everything isUpside down,
The sky’s the limit,
But now, the sky
Seems so much
Farther away,
Water-logged,
Gagged and bound,
Is this where it
All ends?
Tears flooding the
Already maxed out
Hole around you,
It’s safe to say
You’ve prepared
Yourself for death,
Eventually the fear
Will ebb down to
A dull pace of your
Barely beating heart,
Mother, she always
Told you to
Change your old
Ways,
“It’ll come down
To something bad,
Sooner or later.”
Her words hurt
Even more when
The salt of their
Truth rub in your
Already aching
Wounds,
‘Save me
From my old
Ways’
Even when you
Shout, the dirt
Fills your lungs
Don’t give him
The satisfaction of
Hearing your echoing
Cries,
Soaked up by the
Nothingness surrounding
Around you,
Raped, beaten,
And buried alive,
When did it
Get this far?
