The Last Leaf
High up there,Braving the winds,
And the hard
Pelting rain,
Clinging on,
Just to have
That one more chance
To shine,
In the sun,
Gone so far
As to change yourself,
High up on that
Precipice,
Hanging on with
The last traces
Of a long since
Gone strength
That not many know,
An example for species
Of all kinds,
Not many
Have the will to
Remain standing
Against all the
Attempts to make
You fall,
Those who stand
For nothing,
Fall for anything
A lesson not
Quite getting through
To the younger
Generations
A lesson will live on
Through that
Last leaf.
