Stargaze
Cold nights,The best type,
Stargazing under
Heaven’s light,
Such a distant gaze,
Makes me wonder
Just what does
The dark side of
The moon
Have to hide?
My momentous troubles,
Underneath this sky,
Seem to shrink,
If only for a little
Bit,
Thankful as I am,
I can’t seem to
Tear my eyes away
From the stars
So far away,
Once, I’d like to
Float among those
Sparkles,
Just another twinkle
In somebody else’s eye
A ghost of something
Much more than
That which meets
The eye,
Float happily along,
A place to finally
Belong,
Crashing down to
Earth as rain,
I’ll wake up on
My own,
Grounded yet again,
If it wasn’t for my
Free-lancing thoughts,
I’d never have been
Able to visit
Those distant sparkles.
