Down Pour
Down Pour
Words unspoken
will be our destruction
communication never was our best thing...
Now that these streets
are deserted yet
again I can
play in the middle of the road
in the down pour
like I always wanted to
I scream as
the pelts hit and slide
down my heated skin
the corners of my
mouth lift up
as I twirl
and shout at
the ominous sky
"I'm Alive!"
now I lay in
bed, so close
yet so far
your silence turns
to coldness which
turns to hurt
as my mouth
opens to shatter your
fail safe
I have never
felt so alone
while so close
to somebody before
I splay my fingers
across your chest
as I give your lips
a soft goodbye
and leave without
a sound
never to return again.
