Trust
Trust so fragileBroken into pieces
With a single
Brush of an
Untrue finger,
Let’s not fight
It out,
Let’s just…
Let it go,
Break that thin
Barrier,
Force the friendship
To fade,
Your true intentions,
I swear.
Keep an eye out
For freedom,
Don’t ever forget
That the grass that
May seem greener,
May be dyed
A little on the
Short side,
What’s right,
And what’s wrong,
Never one or
The other,
A sick combination
Of the two,
And your left
Feeling justified on
Wrong levels
So you told me,
Does that make it
All okay?
Does that make
It all alright?
Does it make me
Any less upset?
Try all you want,
I still don’t know
What to believe in
Never have you been
To the other side,
Yet you swear that
There’s something
There for you,
Just like any other
Curious human,
You chase after
What is proven to
Be dangerous to oneself
Hooray if you make
It through,
I won’t be on the
Other side,
For you never were
There for me,
Call it selfish,
I call it being
Brutally honest,
I call it
Giving up.
