    Another Damn Day

    My breath is
    shallow
    my mind is shot
    I will live on to another
    damn day
    my heart is black
    and shattered
    my soul is dirty
    and grounded
    I will live on to
    another damn day
    my eyes have gone
    cold
    my beliefs have
    been shot down
    for the last
    time
    I will live on
    to another
    damn day
    my dreams are
    forgotten,
    incomplete
    my spirit is
    gone
    never to return again
    I will live on to
    another damn day
    nothing is left
    no tears left
    to cry
    no more sights
    left to see
    no more words left
    to say
    no more thoughts left
    to think
    But
    I will live on to
    another damn day
    no more paths
    left to tread
    bright minds have
    dimmed,
    I have contradicted
    myself
    but I will live
    on to another
    damn day
    with or without
    you.
