The Pills
The pills can’tErase the lingering
The underlying memory
Threatening to break
Through my reality
Push back my demons
Before they surface
Through my mortal soul
Grin and bear whatever
You must the world
Is waiting for you to
Mess up,
Your walking a thin
Line trip up once
Your lost within time
Another five years down
The line and you still
Feel the burn
The pills still can’t
Take away the fear
Forcing it’s way through
Your dreams,
Making you face reality
Try as you might
The bottle rattles with
Emptiness, now that
It’s all gone
The illusion of safety
Will shatter
Sadistic, smile like
A sadist as the
Glass litters the
Pavement of your
Chaotic mind
Tell yourself that
It’s not the reason
Of your downfall
Keep telling yourself
That’ you’ll be the
Death of me
The pills now gone
Are a cloudy version
Of my distorted reality
Masochistic Sadist
You’ll have your wish
Just open the bottle
And was it down
The liquid seeping
Down your throat
Is lies, you’ll
Feed it to yourself
Until you can’t remember
What made it all begin
Nothing can take that
Away
The innocence that time
Has already eroded to
Nothing
Hide in fields of
Time where darkness
Cannot find
All that you can do
Now
Is find your soul.
