Alone
She sits aloneUse to waiting
For something
To come along
To take her away
Cold indifference
Swallows her pathetic
Life eaten alive
By valiant attempts
At fitting in
She never could
Understand
Why she seemed
To be born with
The burden of sticking
Out, a sore thumb
In a sea of pinkies
Reaching for so much
More, she’ll always
Adore what she’s
Long since
Yearned to have
The pasts she’s
Studied, so hard
To try and not repeat
Like those before her
Her scars fade away,
Her tears long
Since soaked up the
Pain that use to
Engulf her senses,
Alarmingly so,
Like a soldier caught
In the crossfire’s
Of war, she has
Learned that she can’t
Escape,
She has accepted
Her fate,
The fact that she
Will die
Alone.
