Humanity
Humanity
Shouts echo
In an empty chasm
Blood flows evenly
Downhill from this place
Fire erupts around
This so called sacred area
Dark recesses of
Bright minds will leave us all speechless
Bright thoughts of abandoned minds
Will be left behind
We will all follow
The same parade
In time, the advances we make
In this inhumane humanity
Will always be
Echoes in a seemingly empty chasm
Like an unused volcano
Erupting for the first time in years
The next generation will overtake the current one
We are all recycled pieces of matter
Nothing we do
Nothing we say
Nothing we think
Nothing we believe
Nothing we have done
Nothing we have said
Nothing we thought
Nothing we believed
Will ever be the same again
In this empty chasm
With shouts entrancing our very beings
With blood flowing from us freely
An unheeded river
Stopped by nothing
Thought of by nothing
But felt by all
Humanity is connected hopelessly
When skin is torn
When bone is broke
When heart is shattered
When beliefs are scarcely spoken outwardly
Part of something we cannot
Partake in,
Humanity is something
All mortals share,
Yet hardly show
Or hardly known
Only on a small scale.
Nobody steps forward
Nobody cares
Nobody knows
Nobody is curious
Curious thrills
Suspicious downs
We go back to the beginning
Back to the basics
Back to where it all began
To understand where it is all going.
