Past
Faraway, in your
Distance clouded eyes,
A reflection grabs
At the edge of my
Senses,
Breathtaking scenes
Leave me speechless,
The darkness now
Nothing more than
A vague pulling at
The back of my
Conscience
Unmistakable as the
Blood on our hands
Pushing it all away,
I scoot closer to my
Demise,
surely I'd
Have known, Had
You not been so
Kind,
Fighting against
My inner demons with
Me,
I'd never had done it
Alone,
Yet here I am,
Swallowed in regret,
My hand outstretched
Fingers gliding over the
Cool glass of the mirror,
Hoping...hoping that
What once was would
Stop haunting me
The blood on my hands,
Unmistakable as the
Shards fall, glittering snow,
Falling fast, each containing
A sliver of life that
Once was,
Dead eyes stare
Back, same color as
Mine, my reflection
Is all that's left,
The past has been
Shattered,
Now Blood covered shards
Under my feet.
