Wave walker
Emotions they run highMuch like the oceans tide
There high and low
They ebb and flow
And often pull me under
But like the setting sun
There time is soon undone
They streak the sky with burning fire
Aroused by anger passion and desire.
But like the seasons turn
I have a lot to learn
Of peace and war
No keeping score for what is there to savor
I ask you this one favor
To never look away
For as the sea must come and leave
I too must feel that current
But the sea is my best friend
I stand by in the sand and watch it's waves roll in and out and toss it's white foam all about.
Not all is as my seem sometimes I must lean
The water wash me clean so that I can sing
The salt in wounds does sting but cleans away and heals
My broken painful ordeals so I can rise on these clubed
Feet and walk the churning waves.
But when I rise at last to you I'd give my best
That's why I let the rest be carried out to sea
