The Midnight cry
Fly away, oh leave me nowyou bird of sorrow filled skys
where rain falls in unending sheets
and darkness terrorize their eyes
of all the folks down in the alley
without a hope to live on
yet some how they find the strength to keep moving going
I shall too find the remedy for this, the posion flows
through my vains
I dare to dream and pray and hope that someday I'll find
the cure
I weep silently in nights down fall
for yet again I must spend it alone
but eveyday I wake again, and know it will not be long
till I am there clothed in white
with crowns upon my head
and together forever with the ones I love
for there is not greater hope to be looking for
and in the twinkling of an eye, he'll lighten the sky
may it's glory out shine the sun
and come for thy bride, all gathered to his side
forever we shall dwell in our sweet paridise
but, oh to wait such a painful obligation
to think i must endure the night once more
for it was in the midnight hour that he came the first
and at the midnight cry, when Jesus comes again.
