Dark room
I sit in the dark gazing at starsthe moon is not shining tonight
the cold winter breeze swells over the trees
and gusts like an invisible hammer
summer has faded the warmth long time gone
the autumn leaves fallen, and the trees a bear bone
and I am left here in this cold dark home
gazing at stars in the dark all alone
my mind is an ocean the waves of motion
that constantly beat on the shores
my emotions like wells, with no end to their depth
or at least so far, I've not found it yet
the bitter ness sweetened
the sweet a bit bitter
sweet for the season, bitter for its winter
and you like the blue bird have flown far away
perhapse you'll return when the snow melts
but tonight theirs no moon
just me and my gloom as I sit here gazing
in this cold, dark room.
