Heaven's Rain
Come down nowyou golden rain
and fall across my brawl
run down my side, open my eyes
and bring me back to life
what thing is this so radiant
like the sun in the middle of the night
a glimpse of eternal glory
a taste of immortal delight
chase away those horrid beasts
that chain me in their dark room
take away even the very least
or I'll be gone too soon
but raise me up in mornings light
to walk in blessed day
until my Lord, terry no more and carry me away
to that place where this gold liquor spills
where time and age stands still
around thy throne forever strong
praise to thee my king
for you alone I sing
now take my life my hands my sight
and feel my heart and mind with your wonder
and let your blessing fall on me
like the blessed rain of heaven.
