visions of Glory
looking out my studies window at the dent-less blue skythe warm breezes of spring playing through the green leaves that are
newly budded on the trees
the sun shine like a glimpse at glory that I know is to come
and an echo of rain for the afternoons pleasure
standing here I can almost hear heaven's song playing like
a penny whistle in my ears and a choir of angels singing praises to
God almighty and declaring his truths
a tear of joy comes from my eyes at the beauty that lies in store
for I know this is but a fraction of what the glory of my future home shall be
I am truly humbled by the birds who never stop there singing
for the joy of the lord and his praises they are proclaims
and if the sparrows and the swallows and the robins and the jays
are able to take flight on the winds of our mighty God's power
and if they are keeps safe even through a hurricane
surly my God will see me through this life and together we shall be in the next
no power of hell nor scheme of man can ever take me from his hand
for I am his and he is mine, in Christ alone
for he has showed me his love, which is to me like the rain that falls in the desert on the dry and thirsty ground in need so badly of healing and renewal of life
but of all this even in the darkness of night I will say for thou are in me dwelling
and I with thee, and we are as one.
