Blind Faith
Fear is a friend I know to wellsorrow a close companion
troubles they seem to be the theme
of which I live my life.
shadows can be a cold bitter stranger
or the warmth that beconds you in
like the safety of a loved one's arms
or the kind words from a friend.
Laughter a breeze like christmas greetings
only stays for awhile
and the rest of the year I spend it greving
and wishing I could fight this fear
Love is a rare beauty
that often can't stay to long
for this world is full or harsh words
and straying away from home
light is a timeless treasure
hope proves a fading torch
by faith we cling to the promises
that it will be over soon
the storms can offer freedom
but the cost often to dear
for how can you hed the warning
when you've lost you ability to hear.
