Heart burn
The morning broke a stone cold greythe rain washed the sun away
until I was left all alone
in a place I did not belong
the cold it drifted in my room
the bitter winter had come too soon
it took away my only friend
and rocked my world like a mighty whirl wind
then you showed up like once before
like Prince Charming at Cinderella's door
but instead of trying to win my heart
you simply took it and tore it apart
your ripped it open from
tip to seam
and forced from me a pain filled scream
that left me breathless on the floor
and wanting this life to live no more
the dark it raged for nights and days
the light it faded the world a haze
my heart burning an infernal blaze
until it had turned to ash
then slowly the pain did flee
the flame still burning hot in me
and gave me light so I could see
that life was mine to live
I stood up from the blood stained floor
and vowed that you would take no more
for I grew stronger than before
and refuse to fall again
I pushed you out the door
and told you to come no more
for you and your love is a bold faced liar
that makes my heart burn with fire
and I refuse to hear but to ignore
and pray you come here never more.
