the land of Nod (part 2)
I walked along the river road, through the dusty way, it lead me to a cityso close, but so far away
its gate was like a cathidrel, it stretched into the sky
with flags waving in the wind
and vines climbing high
upon the golden arches, stood banners in there post
inarm's of the guard mean who's gaze looked rather hard.
I wondered through the door way
my jaw dropped in dismay
the most beautiful city, like a fairytale in real play
as I walked into the city
the crowd was thick as leaves
there came a man a creeping
a king amoung theifs
he stopped by the baker's shop
I followed his gaze
for my eyes held a suprise, a remarkable display
but then the forceful crowd pushed me like a river another way
it was then I saw him
upon a golden chair set
a king upon his throne
a crown upon his head
but I knew it couldn't be real
so I pushed on through the trog
and carried on deeper into the land of nod.
