Threads
They lead everywhere and are
From one end to the other
The beginnings and endings of God's wisdom
Weaving their blessed ways
In and out, between and under
The folly of this world's unrighteousness
Using every last drop of its blood
To lubricate the unmistakable machinery
Of God's perfect justice
Follow them
If you dare
And discover both yourselves
And the truth of others
As each episode unfolds
In the manifest consequences
Of both man's death wishes
And noble pursuits
For there is no escaping
The ripple effect
Whenever we toss a stone or pebble
Into the ocean of consciousness
That so inextricably binds us all together
And continually reminds us
Of our kinship as a species
Whether we like it or not
Every single one of us is connected
Not only to each other
But to the futures we cultivate
Whenever we step out
In either faith-filled compliance
Or rebellious stupidity
To change the world as we know it
For the better or worse
So before you start a thread
Remember to contemplate its significance
In the good and bad scheme of things
For if the choice you make runs contrary
To what you know in your heart of hearts to be right
Somewhere down the road
That choice will either lead to glory and honor
Or bite you where it will do the most harm
To your ignorance and unwillingness
To let go to God's perfect love
