Having A Ball
You've never swung a driver?
Don't die until you do
'Cause when one hits its sweet spot
Perfection will come true
The ball will leave the tee so fast
As if shot from a cannon
The moment will be here at last
For perfect satisfaction
You'll watch it sail and run its course
A pure-sweet sound will linger
Then marvel at the practiced force
That drove your perfect dinger
A wave of joy will fill your core
With awestruck satisfaction
As on and on the ball will soar
Backed up by fan reaction
You'll stand in perfect time and space
To wonder at its distance
A grin will break out on your face
Without too much resistance
The ball will land and roll awhile
In more than just a rare way
You'll notice with a humble smile
How well it split the fairway
You'll turn your gaze to look and see
Your foursome's celebration
While plucking up a standing tee
As hearts fill with elation
And all because some time ago
A perfect gift was given
A Christmas wish complete with bow
With which the ball was driven
