Pencil Pushing
When I was a child
With strong observational tendencies
He gave me an outer-conscious toy
With which to play and have fun
To both challenge and stimulate
The side of me that desperately needed
Reasons for both the day's troubles
And joy
Now that I'm a grownup
My toy serves as an antenna
Tuned into His Kingdom
Reminding me that without it
And the several thousand pages
Dictated and recorded through it
I might never have learned
How to both read and save-to-file
The Mind of Christ
