The Castle Keepers
Candle burners
We folks be
Beckoning through giant windows
For vessels lost at sea
Planting bright visions in the night
That another might be given the sight
To steer in heaven’s direction
To make the perfect navigational correction
Castle Keepers are a hardy breed
Bearing blessings from God’s seed
Deep within the protected recesses
Of love’s possession
Bringing it all out
At the drop of a humble question
Getting into the holy business of teaching
By rote
Unto those who dare
To cross God’s moat
