Madness
Difficult was it for me
To master the feelings of anger and resentment
That overtook my self-control
Whenever my sense of what’s right
Confronted the colossal stupidity
And premeditated ignorance
Of man’s egocentric nature
More difficult
Was the dealing with of behavioral patterns
Leading to the triggering of a rage
That invariably revealed its focus to be
A heartfelt, mirrored response
To my own inadequate and immature spiritual persona
For man is never more vulnerable
Than when at odds with his own shortcomings
And never more godlike
Than when he aspires to correct his generation
After removing the flaws in his own perceptions
Of what’s right and wrong
