There
There's a pain in my heart
And it won't go away
A weak-powerful pain
Unfamiliarly free
And I want it to stay
'Cause I know that it's me
There's a fire in my soul
So consistently pure
I can barely contain what my heart must endure
What my feelings can’t train
What a pill will not cure
There's a tear in my eye
That refuses to leave
Like a heart-blurring sigh
Only true love can breathe
When two lovers must grieve
Without love's company
There's a promise I've made
Which I've long-dared to keep
A real life-changing choice
That refuses to sleep
Is this insistent voice
Who for love must now weep
