The time is near
So very near
For us to quickly disappear
To leave behind each heartfelt tear
To separate from sorrow
Hate and fear
Unto the loving embrace of a perfect tomorrow
The day draws nigh
For us to sigh
The blest relief
Of why we suffered our belief
Against the grain of this world's doubt
And shame
When Jesus came
To pull us out
And catch us up
To the kingdom of heaven
