Rainy Days and Mondays
Karen’s heart was a wellspring
Of pure liquid magic
Pouring forth from each molten mix
She grooved across the hot wax of her life
Every time it rains
I think of Karen’s mellow-toned spirit
Filling the lonely corners of my heart
With the sweet remembrance
Of love’s song
When there was no getting over
A rainbow
Or how incredibly easy she was
On the ears
And my need to vibrate
With a kindred soul
Karen’s velvety flow said
And did it all
And when she’s there again on a replay
It’s a brand new day
And we are once again alive together
In love
