Inside
What candid yearnings
Would you have me confess aloud?
Are my tactics too subtle
To withstand the scrutiny
Of your inquisitive dilemma?
Such are the questions
I see in your eyes
The wisdom no sentence can speak
But life is sweeter in silent space
Where straight ahead looks
And sideward glances can say more
Than any electron microscope
Was built to expose
Look at me
And forget the tainted speculations
Of curiosity
For they will never tell us
About what is really going on
Inside
