It
I'm a positive poet
Some say
One who can only see the day
Please-
Don't think of me that way
For I have been to the pit
And back
And have seen and done the evil in it
To the max
So if I choose not to dwell on its content
Without contrasting a bit
The joys life offers while out of it
Do not be surprised by the tactic
For the vision of death
Is there for good reasons
Do we not all have our seasons
Our static
Our demons
Upon which to cut our teeth
To mold, cajole and shape us
Into our own personal perfect fit
Or
Have you not yet gotten it
