"Rainbow's Visitation"
She awoke in a conscious vision
And carried to a place higher and beyond alpha
Beyond death
A man appeared
Her first
Speaking these words unto Rainbow’s heart:
“Sweet child of peace
Come unto me
For it is your season of flight
And I am Master of the angels
Take with you a tear
That it may be added to the others
Waiting for the final cloudburst
Tarry not
Lest our pain be withstood
Beyond the tolerable limits
Of love’s longsuffering
Now
Do it now
And be done with sorrows once
And for all tomorrows”
Upon awakening
She rose and felt a tear
Lingering on her right cheek
It trickled down the blessed radiance of her face
Where it was caught on the tip of her waiting tongue
And swallowed
The phone rang once
Bringing a smile to Rainbow’s soul
As she slowly removed herself from death’s bed
And reached for yet another rung
On the ladder to heaven
