Shine
Who sees the world through future's eyes
To snatch love's child back from the dead
Where once were only plaintive sighs
Exhausted from a heartfelt head
Who makes of life a joy to live
Unharmed by words designed to hate
Instead so blessed with needs to give
What only love can celebrate
These perfect-suffering warriors
Subdue the world at will
Like published poet laureates
Whose thoughts hate cannot kill
They fill the space where wit and grace
And wisdom intertwine
That bliss may teach each hidden face
The peace that makes love shine
