Just Me
This day
I spent carefully wishing
In some remote room somewhere
Where someone beautiful sat
Watching me tend to a fireplace
On a cold, snowy, windless night
In a forest
Tucked in under an humongous comforter
We tangled in our undies
Pressing firmly to each other's hearts
Sweetly breathing whispered nothings
Between certain kisses
And silences stared
Wide-eyed
Dressed in wonder
To the tune of the fire's crackle
Am I mad?
Is that not the way it ought to be?
Or
Is it just me
